Henk Pool
Henk Pool is a songwriter & producer from the Netherlands. Henk’s songs have been recorded by a wide array of artists, such as Wynona, Avalon, Chris McClarney and Kelly Minter (USA), Marco Borsato, Kim-Lian van der Meij, Sjors van der Panne, Petra Berger, O’g3ne, Moye Brennan (Europe), Nicholis Louw, Loyd Cele, Romanz (South Africa), Eve Janvier (Canada), among others.
He has sold multi platinum discs in both the USA and Europe. In two recent shows of ‘The Voice of Holland’, Henk’s songs were used in the finals, both songs shooting straight to the top of the charts. He has regular co-writes in the US, UK and NL with people like Vincent Degiorgio, Danny Orton, Michael Garvin, Victoria Horn, Carl Utbult, Troy Verges, Chris Eaton, Nik Kershaw, Bruce R. F. Smith, Ralph van Manen, among others. Henk’s songs have been used in American films like ‘A Foreign Affair’ (with Tim Blake Nelson & David Arquette).
Henk has also written film scores for movies like: ‘The Roymann Closure’, and the award winning: ‘Letter’. His work has won both ASCAP and DOVE Awards, plus a Rembrandt Nomination for best film song. Apart from a busy studio and writing career, Henk is a part-time teacher at the ArtEZ Pop Academy & Conservatory.
